Outdoor Japan Adventures is an outdoor tours and events booking engine commissioned by the Japan National Tourist Organisation through Outdoor Japan. Site visitors can search, filter and book a range of tours and events created by Travel Operators signed up to the site. Rain designed and developed the site in a very tight time frame in order to launch in time for the Winter season and then fully launch for the Spring. A distinct feature of Outdoor Japan Adventures was the integration of Operators, Tours and Destinations, allowing various displays to the visitor based on proximity, popularity and a list of filters. The flexible design was able to accommodate the different types of information submitted by Operators when creating their tours, as well as an approval workflow which allowed OJA staff to approve Operator applications, submissions and updates to their content.
